Website cache is a mechanism used to make your website faster. When a user requests a web page, the website cache is checked to see if the page has been previously requested and if it is available. If so, the cached version is served instead of loading the page again from scratch. This makes for faster load times and improved user experience.
As a website admin however, you will see an un-cached version of the site (you will see a red “Ignoring Cache” message top right).
Only you (or specifically, your browser) will see this message. Your website users will not see it. (It is triggered by logging in to your site’s admin).
This functionality exists so that when you are editing your site, you can immediately see the changes.
There is, thanks for asking.
Add this to the end of any URL
?cache=ignore
Eg: <https://example-v2.yourcinema.co/?cache=ignore>
This triggers the above admin functionality, the user will see an un-cached website (and the red “Ignoring Cache” message).
