Your Promotional List shows on every page of your website, just above the footer. See examples on our example site. You can add as many as you like, we recommend a minimum of 3 and a max of 9. You can also not add any promos, and the space will close up and not be visible to your users.

Creating a promo

1. Log in to your site’s admin.

2. Click Promotional.

3. Scroll to the Promotional List section. Add a title (which you can change later) and click Add.

4. Now add the 5 elements required to build your placement:

   1. Title - A short and sharp headline.

      1. Homepage Carousel - 35 characters max.
      2. Footer Promos - 20 characters max.

   2. Subtitle - Copy that expands on the Title. Again, keep it short.

      1. Homepage Carousel - Aim for 70 characters max.
      2. Footer Promos - 60 characters max.

   3. Link - The landing page. Add a full URL, copy and pasted from the browser.

   4. Button text - The text to show on the link button.

   5. Image - A 16:9 image, minimum of 1280x720px.

      <aside> 💡 Use clean, high-res, attention-grabbing images.

      A good free source of high-res movie images is themoviedb.org.

      • Go to themoviedb.org, find a movie, select Media, then Backdrops. </aside>

5. With that done, switch on Make Live? and hit Save.

6. Now, head back to your Promotional homepage by clicking Promotional in the left hand navigation.

7. You’ll see your newly created item at the bottom of the list. Click the directional icon under Position column to move it to your desired position.

   <aside> 💡 Your website will show everything in these lists, in the order shown in the list. We recommend having no more than 5 live items in your Homepage Carousel, and no more than 9 items in your Promotional List.
